About Us
Roy “Doc” Brown and Betty Moved to Bixby in January of 1946. They then partnered with Doc’s cousin to open the Packing House at 10 W. Dawes. Although the grocery store has changed names through the years, most everyone still calls it “Doc’s”.
The store changed locations from the Dawes site to 111 N. Cabaniss, currently the local Dollar General, in 1965. The store moved then again to 211 N. Cabaniss, currently the Bixby Community Center, in 1980. In 1999, the store moved to its current location in the Spartan Shopping Center on Memorial Dr., changing its name to Doc’s Country Mart.
Through the years, no matter what the store’s name was, the Brown family has provided more than just groceries for Bixby citizens. They have established a legacy of generosity and commitment to the school children, civic organizations, and worthy causes. Since 1997, that legacy has spread to the other communities we’ve expanded into.
In 1997 and again in 2004, we opened Country Marts in Glenpool and Coweta, nearby communities to Bixby’s west and east. In 2008, we acquired two Apple Markets out west, Fairview and Watonga, specifically. In 2011, we opened another Apple Market, this time in Newkirk, north of Ponca City. The opening of our Apple Market in Oologah in 2013 marked our first ground up construction since 1980. Most recently, in 2014 and 2015 we acquired stores in Collinsville and Oilton, naming them JB’s Markets, our first original brands.
Through our growth, we’ve been fortunate to be involved in some of Oklahoma’s finest communities and have worked with unforgettable individuals. Needless to say, we’re looking forward to another 70 years!
Coupon Policy
As part of Country Mart’s dedication to providing its customers a quality shopping experience at a low cost, we accept valid paper, digital (clipped to one’s card), and free coupons according to the following guidelines.
- Customers must pay sales tax as required by state law.
- Coupons should have a scannable bar code.
- Coupons must be redeemed for items indicated on the coupon and presented to the cashier with the corresponding items at the time of checkout.
- Valid internet coupons will be accepted. Internet coupons must have the entire coupon border, including dashed lines, intact.
- We accept valid manufacturer coupons with a reimbursement address that names another retailer with wording that says “available at…” or “redeemable at…”.
- We do not accept coupons that say “redeem at…”, “only at…” or that simply list the name of another retailer.
- The number of coupons cannot exceed the number of items in the transaction, nor can the value of the coupons exceed the current purchase price of the items in the transaction. If the coupon’s value is greater than the current purchase price, no cash back will be given and it will not be applied to the remaining balance of the transaction.
- Coupons cannot be exchanged for cash or gift cards.
- Expired coupons, photocopied coupons or coupons for items not carried in our store will not be accepted.
- We do not accept coupons which have been purchased, sold, transferred, or mass-cut.
- We reserve the right to limit the number of coupons.
- We reserve the right to reject coupons.
- A valid Country Mart Rewards Account is required to access a digital account in order to use digital coupons at the time of purchase.
- Digital coupons and offers are deducted from a customer’s total purchase prior to paper coupons or any other discounts, and cannot be added back or removed once the card has been scanned.
- Limit 1 use per digital coupon, per transaction.
- Digital offers cannot be combined with paper manufacturer’s coupons on the purchase of a single item.
- Digital offers do not double.
- A limit of 150 coupons can be loaded per household at any time.
- Digital reproductions of offers will not be accepted (such as using a mobile application to reproduce an image of an offer/coupon).
- The store manager has the right to accept, decline or limit the use of ANY digital coupon or offer.
- Manufacturer coupons with a face value of .50¢ or less will be doubled when customers use their Country Mart Rewards Card.
- Coupons with a face value greater than .50¢ will be redeemed at face value.
- Doubling is limited to one like-item coupon per family, per day. Additional like-item coupons will be redeemed at face value.
- The doubled amount cannot exceed the current purchase price of the merchandise. If the doubled coupon’s value is greater than the current purchase price, no cash back will be given and it will not be applied to the remaining balance of the transaction.
- Carbonated beverages, soda pop, cigarette, beer, retailer, in-store, free-item, and coupons stating “do not double” cannot be doubled.
- Only one valid manufacturer and one valid Country Mart coupon can be accepted for the purchase of a single item. If the coupons’ combined value is greater than the current purchase price, no cash back will be given and it will not be applied to the remaining balance of the transaction. Only one valid manufacturer coupon OR one digital coupon can be accepted for the purchase of a single item.
- For in-store coupons valued at a flat dollar amount off total purchase, the specified total purchase must be attained after all other coupons and discounts have been applied.
- Valid coupons are accepted for sale items.
- The value of the coupon cannot exceed the current purchase price of the item. If the coupon’s value is greater than the current purchase price, no cash back will be given and it will not be applied to the remaining balance of the transaction.
- When items are priced at Buy One Get One FREE, one coupon can be used per item, but the net purchase price cannot fall below $0.00 for the items when the coupons are applied. Only one applicable coupon can be doubled. If the coupons’ combined value is greater than the current purchase price, no cash back will be given and it will not be applied to the remaining balance of the transaction.
